I am a big fan of the design house Marimekko. Since its beginning in 1951, Marimekko has been a powerhouse in textile design. Their textiles can be seen anywhere from fashion to interior products, such as bedding, window treatments, towels, and table linens. When first I saw the Seireeni Bedding available from Crate & Barrel, I was struck by its boldness and pizazz. This is for someone wanting to make a (loud) statement. It was designed in 1964 and is still stunning in 2010.
